Global leading experts on apparel technology, innovation and automation will speak at Bangladesh Fashionology Summit to be held in Dhaka on February 12 next.
A total of 17 renowned speakers from 10 countries are expected to participate in the first ever fashion and tech summit to discuss about latest apparel products, technology and innovation that will shape the future of the industry.
The speakers include Jonathan Zornow who invented Sewbo or the robot to sew a garment and Pradeep David, General Manager of Universal Robots South Asia who is the pioneer of the concept of Cobots — the robots who can work along with human to achieve better efficiency.
The speakers also include Vikas Raykar, the research scientist and expert on Cognitive Fashion at IBM Watson which is the industry leader in artificial intelligence and Garment Guru David Birnbaum, the Strategic Advisor to the World Bank who has to his credit several ground-breaking books on apparel and its pricing.
Sunil Shewakramani, the Executive Vice President of Li & Fung India Pvt Ltd which is a 110 year old apparel supply chain company and Ms. Muchaneta Kapfunde, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Fashnerd, the globally reputed digital magazine that focuses on fashion and lifestyle from technological standpoint are also expected speak at the event.
The Speakers will share their expert opinions in four sessions of the summit — i) Factory of the Future, ii) Virtual Reality & Digitalization of Supply Chain, iii) Fashion Tech & Sustainable Innovation, and iv) Mass Customization & on Demand Manufacturing.
The organizer of the summit Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE) is also going to arrange the first ever Digital Tech Fashion Show during the event.
In the fashion show some of the most creative and innovative fashion design with digital and tech twists brought from around the world will be displayed.
The BAE is also going to exhibit the operation of Cobots during this fashion and tech Summit.
